This February why not have a Valentine’s Day Party Playdate for your kids and their friends. Decorate the table with hearts and serve up some heart-shaped treats and you will have kids that are in awe of how awesome you are!
Valentine’s Day can be such a fun holiday for the little ones. It’s a holiday I personal love because it brings cheer for me during a very cold and boarding winter. I personally love any excuse to have a celebration and Valentine’s Day is an absolute perfect time to celebrate especially if you have young kids.
Here are a few things to make your Valentine’s Day Party Playdate a playdate they will never forget!
Start off by decorating the table. This can be your dinning table or just a small kids table depending on how many kids there are. I personally love having holiday theme party playdates because it is a lot easier to handle and plan for a playdate rather than a large party. Since I have only one child I like to keep the playdate to a max of 4 kids. If you have a big family then this can be perfect for your kids to enjoy together since it’s fun for a multiple of ages.
Decorate the table with an adorable heart table runner like the one from pottery barn kids. Set out some adorable heart-shaped plates and cups. Add some simple heart decorations like the heart garland we found at target along with the pink accordion fans.
For some fun Valentine’s Day activities add an adorable felt mailbox to the mix. It also doubles as adorable decor. One for each kid to use to receive their special Valentines from friends and family. Another fun activity is to let the kids create their own Valentine’s Day cards. Also tic-tac-toe is always an easy and favorite game to play. You can easily make a board and use kisses and candy hearts for the pieces.
For some yummy Valentine’s Day treats just make sandwiches. Peanut butter and jelly or ham and cheese are always a hit. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to really make the sandwiches Valentine’s Day perfect! You can even let the kids make their own heart-shaped mini pizzas by using a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Other finger snacks that would be great are fruits such as strawberries.
Creating special holiday memories for your kids doesn’t have to be a stress maker. Simple and sweet is always a great way to go. This Valentine’s Day Party Playdate is easy to create and beyond fun for all the little ones!
