Ever feel overwhelmed when it comes to organizing your life? Things can gets crazy especially if you’re a mom! I recently solved one of my biggest problems which is scheduling and keeping everything I need for my business organized. I have spent years looking for the perfect planner set up and I finally found it! Disclosure: this post contains some affiliate links.
This year I went with an A5 planner set up from Day Designer and it was life changing for me. It gave me the ability to organize the planner the way that worked best for me. I have a family section, blog post section, and even an expenses section just to name a few. Along with those sections I absolutely love using the daily sheets. Each day has its own dedicated page where I can keep track of everything going on during that busy day. I can track all my appointments because it breaks up the day by time slots.
My favorite part of the daily sheet is the note section. I’m one of those that loves writing notes during the day. It’s great having everything on one page so I can see it all without having a million post-its around the house (which I’m always losing)! I like that the A5 comes with undated daily sheets. They also sell dated ones separately. I felt that I didn’t need the dated ones because there are some days that aren’t as crazy and busy. This way I can control what days need more attention and which are my days to relax. I absolutely love the monthly calendar view. Each month is spread across two sheets so the boxes are large enough to fill in with small details. It’s the best way to get a quick overview of what my week or month looks like. I also enjoy decorating the months with washi tape and fun stickers. It’s just one more thing that gives me joy when I use my planner.
I wanted a good quality planner that I know I could use for years. I feel in love with the navy blue leather A5 Day Designer. It is just stunning in person and I get so many compliments on it. The leather is so soft and has like a padded feeling to it. It’s a perfect size too. Anything smaller would make the papers inside too small for me to write on. Anything larger would have made it too bulky to put in an already full mom purse! I love the control I have with a binder format. If I feel like it is getting too bulky I can easily take out an unused section and save it for another time.
I ordered mine back in October and I’m so glad I did since they sold out very quickly! It is now May and they just got them back in stock! I’m sure they won’t last long and will be sold out again till the fall. If you want to organize your busy life then check out the Day Designer website to see all their beautiful planners. They also have their flagship spiral bound planner which is a dated daily page for the whole year. They come in beautiful cover choices which they update each season. These are great planners too and I’ve used them before but the A5 was the better fit for me and what I needed for my family and business! See all the beautiful planners at Day Designer.
Here is how Day Designer suggests to Plan a Successful Day. This has been super helpful for me and it is a great way to start using your Day Designer Planner. They also offer a free downloadable version of their famous Daily Sheet set up. That way you can really see how wonderful they are. I tried it out that way first to make sure it was the right daily set up for me and now I’m hooked!
Hope this planner helps you as much as it has helped this busy mama!! Let me know if you get one I’d love to see how you set yours up!

Aw so happy to help! This planner has really helped me so I’m happy to share my thoughts. You can also download for free one of their daily sheets so that you can test it out. That is what I did before buying to make sure the set up of the daily page was right for me. The A5 is my favorite because I can customize it to my liking. So very helpful!
I have fully jumped on the Bujo train as of late, doodling and filling my own “planner” with washi and ‘to-do’s’ – but I haven’t had a set schedule, or really a way to keep my organization organized, if that makes any sense. You essential tips will fit right in with that, and I think they may be very helpful.
Yes once you start I find it really hard to stop. I love decorating my monthly pages. They offer a free download of their daily page so you can try it before you buy it. I did that before I purchased it. It was a wonderful decision. It really keeps me organized!
