The holidays are quickly approaching and one thing that always crosses my mind is finding the perfect gifts for my kids. Now more toys isn’t really something my kids need more of. Especially since I’ve been trying to get into more of a minimalist lifestyle. Now if you know me you would probably laugh at me saying that since I would be considered a fine line to hoarder than a minimalist but I swear I’m trying! So when the holidays come around I’m always worried about getting a bunch of toys that my kids don’t really need. So what I’m doing differently this time is to make a gift list of toys that my kids would really love and actually play with for more than five minuets! This is such a helpful holiday guide! It’s easy to buy gifts for little nephew, but I’m sure my sister in law would love more minimalistic toys that don’t junk up her house!
Man I love all things Melissa and Doug for my daughter. We have so many toys in general, but Melissa and Doug is my fave. We had that geometic sorter, but we threw away the stand for it recently. My daughter wouldn’t play with it. She sitll plays with the pieces in it though and it’s a great way to practice her colors. I really love that name toy you have first too. Maybe I will go ahead and order one so she can start learning to spell her name.
I got my nephew Magnatiles one year – they are so cute. And I love that Magic Mat; never seen it before. I think wooden toys are great – definitely a bit nostalgic, but they would hold up well.
