It’s that time of year! Happy Fall! I joyfully welcome the cooler weather and the beautiful colors of fall. Layering is my favorite especially when I’m pregnant. Lots of comfy leggings and sweaters are in my future! Here is my go to list of my favorite family fall fun activities. Though I can’t enjoy pumpkin wine this year, I still plan on a ton of other fun activitiesย and treats to celebrate this season. Here is my list!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch: What a great way to pick your perfect pumpkin by going to a pumpkin patch and picking your own! A pumpkin patch is always a wonderful spot to take some fun festive family photos. Collect a few pumpkins for your kids to decorate later.
Attend a Fall Pumpkin Festival: Fall in Germany is a very fun time. There is a different festival each weekend. Most of the fun you hear about is for October fest which really starts in september. If you’re looking for more family friends festivals then the pumpkin festivals are where it’s at! These are always so much fun! Filled with a ton of activities for the kids such as hayrides and corn mazes along with lots of delicious foods to try!
Go on a Nature Walk: It’s a wonderful time to take your littles ones on a walk to enjoy the nicer cooler weather and to admire the changing of the season! You can practice color recognition by spotting different color leaves along your walk. Don’t forgetย ย to collect some leaves to bring home for some wonderful fall craft projects.
Apple Picking: Fall is a great time to get outdoors! A super fun way to spend an afternoon is by going apple picking with the family. It always makes for wonderful memories. We love making caramel apples with our apples each fall. Let the little ones decorate them for a super special treat. They also make for great fall holiday gifts.
Make some S’mores: Fall comes with crisp nights so what better way to enjoy that then by making s’mores with kids. It’s a fun treat the whole family can enjoy. Have an adult warm up the marshmallows and let the kids put the smores together.
Paint a Pumpkin: This is a much safer way to decorate pumpkins when you have little ones. No carving required! Kids love painting and being creative. It’s best to set down newspapers to cover the floor since this project can get messy but that’s all part of the fun!
Hot Coco Nights: There is no better way to celebrate the changing season then by spending the night drinking hot coco and cuddling with some warm blankets while watching a family movie! Don’t forget the marshmallows!
I’m looking forward to doing all of these this year. Let me know what your favorite fall activities are! Happy Fall!
